Eau de Parfum
Period: 2000 BC
A bold interpretation of the world's first documented perfume, the Egyptian "ānti". It was reserved for the pharaohs' court and formed the crowning glory of sacred ceremonies taking place behind the desert dunes. As ānti's first and eponymous perfume, this protective blend of frankincense and myrrh transforms into a feline composition with mystical accents.
Frankincense and cardamom unfold like a temple, while Greek saffron, frankincense, and cypriol burn with fiery intensity at the heart. Myrrh essence and amber are the timeless guardians of the foundation – ancient deities of a modern incantation.
"I created this perfume around an overdose of frankincense: both the essence and the absolute. I highlighted the fresh, slightly spicy facet of frankincense essence by combining it with cardamom and saffron. And to enhance the ambery, warm, and resinous character of frankincense absolute, I added cypriol to the heart of myrrh essence, as well as an amber accord." – Sidonie Lancesseur
