Wales Perfumery
Louise Smith's love for perfumery began in childhood, playing with her grandmother's beautiful perfume bottles, pulling off the stoppers and smelling the incredible scents within.
She initially made her name in the pharmaceutical industry before a serendipitous reading of an article in a chemistry magazine prompted her to train as a perfumer in Paris. After many years studying perfumery, in 2019, in the beautiful Wye Valley in Monmouth, she began running perfumery courses from her laboratory, which overlooks her stunning 500-year-old secret walled garden.
What began as a craft perfume laboratory has evolved into a place where creativity, craftsmanship, and education come together. Today, with her Wales Perfumery, Louise enjoys the freedom as an independent niche perfumery to create fragrances inspired by nature, history, and the stories that captivate her.
