Debaser is a cult favorite from D.S. & DURGA, inspired by my youth hanging out with cool older kids. Music was the group's common thread. I got to know many bands, but the Pixies were the greatest. I remember buying "Doolittle" on cassette. Back then, cassettes had a distinct scent of grape and orange blossom due to a mysterious blend of polyester, magnetism, and lubricants they were made from. You'd go to the local record store, buy the newest cassette, and skateboard home quickly to listen to it. When you tore open the packaging, that familiar scent was like an unconscious harbinger of the new music.
Experimenting with a perfume formula is like reinterpreting a beloved song. New elements emerge, and this version of Debaser adds beauty to the everyday. The nostalgic scent of cassette tapes is enhanced by selected fruit and floral notes. It's easy to wear and evokes a perfect spring to summer mood, much like the music that inspired it.
