Mysterious and seductive, soft and sensual at the same time – Under My Skin is my interpretation of the animalistic theme. Softened by precious iris butter, this emotional fragrance is human and intimate, as if emanating from your own skin.

The origin of Under My Skin:

"Under My Skin" is my interpretation of the animalistic theme. I was fascinated by strong animalic scents and tried to create my own, but I realized that what I liked about other people's creations wasn't necessarily what I wanted to create myself.

So, after adding animal ingredients that leaned toward heavy, sweet, or barnyard-like, I had to gradually remove them until I arrived at the solution I like best: a leathery, slightly animalic, powdery scent, velvety and elegant. It suits my personality and style, and when I finally realized this was my path, I was happy and relieved.

The name comes from a conversation with an artist and perfume lover who said it was as if the scent emanates from the skin. This concept of "Under My Skin" reinforced my resolve to create something more subtly "human" rather than overtly "animalistic." The core of the fragrance is a combination of animal and leathery notes, tamed by iris butter (with 15% iron!). After working on this core, I turned my attention to the base notes, which consist of tolu balsam, Peruvian balsam, tonka bean, and various woods.

The final step was the top note, for which I used grapefruit and lavender. I used to be a "lavender hater," but here it plays a subtle and elegant role. I was amazed at how well it suited this fragrance, adding brightness and elegance.
