The Soft Lawn
Eau de Parfum
SYNOPSIS
Published in 1916, The Soft Lawn is a controversial portrait of upper-class youth rebellion in New England. The coming-of-age story follows a charming, haughty college tennis champion who, after years of being handed everything on a silver platter, must now give it all back. His selfless acts anger his family but pique the interest of a budding poet, setting in motion a secret love story that challenges the conventions of affluent society. Blows are traded coolly, but as the tension mounts, it becomes clear that only one side can triumph in the end.
