scent of love

A perfume dedicated to the love of my homeland, my roots, Sicily. I was born in the south of the world, in a place I thought would forever remain my island. Ciavuru d'amuri means "scent of love" and is an olfactory journey into my past, into my memories. It tells of my childhood, my youth, is a dedication to my mother and grandmother, and a special dedication to my father, Bartolomeo. I remember the fig tree, tall and casting shade in my grandmother Vincenza's blooming garden.

Childhood

I spent my carefree childhood there. The third travel note begins with the milky green of the fig tree, the bitterness of mugwort, and bergamot. Everything is soft with time and white, like mothers' dresses, like the Sicilian sun. The heart of Ciavuru d'amuri is a floral bouquet of jasmine and ylang-ylang. It was the white blossoms that created the light reflections that still make my eyes shine with emotion today.

Sicily

Evening approached, we returned home after long walks, the pungent notes of incense and the warm woody notes of cedar and sandalwood layered over the sweetness of benzoin; everything became familiar to me, like a sacred summer procession. I remember the voices quietly telling old stories, we sat around the table, still there, under the dew of my grandmother's great fig tree. In that scent, I recounted one of the most intimate chapters of my life.
