Violet Nere

The garden

There is a place where my thoughts find refuge, where I withdraw from the world, where I recite my poems at dawn in March, while the first violets of the year sprout from the still-frozen ground. This place is the garden of my soul. In Viole Nere, I explore the theme of absence and darkness, where I conceal my being, let go of my mind, where the word becomes a boulder to which I bind my spirit, and where poetry becomes a form of invocation. Fragrance becomes a miracle, black on black.
I decided to tell a new story that has the scent of a black violet.

The violet

Viole Nere was born out of my desire to express my love for the garden as a physical and spiritual place, as a mirror of my consciousness.
For this, I interpreted the famous violet, a simple and delicate flower that nevertheless has a strong character.
My violet tells of March mornings when the earth is still damp and cold, soaked by late winter, and the first rays of spring illuminate the lawn. Violets grow and fragrant, a ritual repeated year after year.

The tradition

I wanted to modernize the tradition and find a balance between powdery, fruity, and woody notes. The crisp note of cassis speaks of the freshness of those morning hours, while the combination of vetiver, patchouli, and frankincense takes us back to earth, to our roots. Violet, iris, and the floral accord represent emotions, light, and elegance. A contemporary classic, a violet from the 1920s, but from the new century.
