Never leave a candle burning unattended. Do not place it in a draft, and keep it away from children, curtains, and pets. Always light the candle on a heat-resistant surface. When lighting the candle for the first time, let it burn until the entire surface of the wax is molten. Before each lighting, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm. For candles in glass containers, allow no more than 5 mm of wax to burn, and do not allow it to burn completely.
