“I had these obsessive desires and thoughts that I tried to control, but I couldn’t. I was definitively obsessed. I didn’t kill because I was angry at them, not because I hated them, but because I wanted to keep them with me, and as my obsession grew, I kept body parts like skulls and skeletons.”
Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer killed seventeen men.
He lured them with calm and kindness, then drugged them, took their lives, and kept them.
Some he sketched, others he photographed. He tried to keep them forever.
In court, he stated: “I did not act out of hatred.”
He said he did it out of love – from the uncontrollable need to possess, not to be abandoned, to keep what would otherwise disappear.
From this obsession arose something paranormal: the coexistence of two personalities in the same body, two inseparable and warring natures.
In this state of suspension, Jeffrey emerges, the world’s second fragrance dedicated to a serial killer, and the second chapter of Spiritica’s Crime Collection.
A perfume that explores the duality, the fractured mind, the tension between light and darkness.
The composition is the result of a collaboration of several individuals.
In addition to the founder Daniele Muratori Caputo, perfumers Paolo Cerizza and Lorenzo Orlandi Berti contributed, helping to create a complex and unsettling olfactory balance where coldness and sweetness alternate like states of mind.
The opening is sharp, cold, almost clinical: ice-cold beer, poppers, white orange, live yeast, sour aldehydes.
It is the smell of everyday life breaking down, of the clean surface hiding the abyss.
The heart note is a descent into memory: dirty carpet, carnation, congealed blood, human sweat, sharp blade.
Scents that linger in the air like presences, like traces of the paranormal, like residues of a mind that can no longer distinguish between dream and reality.
The base is sweet, oppressive, disturbing: melted plastic, damp basement, amber, birch, vetiver.
It is the final caress, the scent of obsession and addiction.
The love that does not free, that clings, that wants to survive even beyond the end.
Also worthy of mention is the work of Lorenzo (and his team) from Only the Dreamers, who created a globally unique cap with a flocked and then laser-engraved surface, which is very special and imitates the carpet in Jeffrey’s apartment.
Jeffrey is an extreme olfactory work.
A story of attraction and annihilation, of tenderness and madness.
A perfume that does more than just evoke: it stays, it breathes, it takes possession.
It is not a commodity.
It is an artistic, free, and conscious creation that uses the language of perfume as a means of narration and introspection.
Like a film or a book, Jeffrey tells, provokes, and stimulates reflection.

For the historical and conceptual construction of this fragrance, the founder also sought the advice of Daniela Cavallo, a lawyer and criminologist who helped to outline the behavioral profile of the perpetrator and the narrative dimension of the project.
As she herself says:
“The scent becomes a dialogue between emotional and narrative appeal, a work of art that explores the human soul and its contradictions.”
“Dahmer recalls very particular and unconventional notes. It is a narcotic scent, cold but at the same time able to evoke a feeling of warmth: the embrace of a man.”
After he was caught, Jeffrey Dahmer pleaded entirely guilty.
He chose to cooperate with the investigation and asked the judge for the death penalty, which, however, was not imposed on him as it was not provided for in that state.
