In the suburbs of the Brazilian metropolis, in the shade of the vegetation of Tijuca National Park, the Macumba rituals are performed.
Macumba is a term from the African Bantu language that describes religious practices that combine pagan elements of African origin with influences from folk Christianity and diverse influences from Brazilian culture. Contrary to Western notions, macumba is not always associated with "black" rituals: Rather, most of these syncretic incantation rituals attempt to promote protection, health, prosperity, happiness, and well-being.
In these paranormal rituals, animal sacrifices are also offered to promote the benevolence of the deities.
MANGOMACUMBA is the first reference of the OSCURATA COLLECTION by Spiritica.
The opening of MANGOMACUMBA is extremely fresh, fruity, cheerful, bright, and tropical. The sweet notes of realistic tropical mango harmonize with the sharper, citrusy nuances of lime and pineapple. The whole is framed by a hint of peppermint, whose ozonic notes contribute to a lavish and invigorating freshness from the first spray.
Then a bloody and juicy heart note makes its way between ferrous notes and tropical flowers, directly referring to the places, the instruments used and the offerings made during these rituals.
During its long, increasingly dark and ferrous development, MANGOMACUMBA offers us a ritual fragrance experience that unites darkness and light.
A distinct contrast from the opening to the finish, underscored by precious tobacco absolute, mixed with the darkness of luxurious ebony essential oil and the warm and spicy notes of terra rossa, softened by sweet and soothing milky notes.
MANGOMACUMBA aims to be an invitation to look beyond what has been imposed on us, an incentive to unite the diversity of cultures, and an opportunity to get to know one of the darkest and most mysterious sides of human existence.
MANGOMACUMBA was created in collaboration with the young perfumer Daniele Cerroni, who developed the fragrance step by step according to the conceptual ideas of the founder of Spiritica, Daniele Muratori Caputo.
