Silures

Silures is a lush, gourmand and resinous Eau de Parfum, honouring the original spirit of a tribe rooted in Wales.

Silures: Named after the fierce Welsh Celtic tribe from South East Wales who lived in Venta Silurum and were known for their fighting spirit and later coexistence with Roman civilisation.

Perfumer’s notes:
Silures celebrates the Welsh tribe of Venta Silurum who lived alongside the Romans in magnificent settlements with amphitheatres and forums. The Silures were a very fierce, warlike people, so a leathery background reflects their strength. They foraged for and ate many berries, which adds a fruity note to the fragrance. I built the entire fragrance around osmanthus absolute, which has this beautiful apricot-like leathery profile. I also created a Beltane cake accord using nutmeg, cardamom, cloves, vanilla, brandy and butter to evoke their celebrations and the richness of their culture. It is a sweet yet powerful fragrance, capturing both the sophistication and the wild spirit of the Silures.
