Votadini
Eau de Parfum
Votadini is an earthy, alluring and untamed Eau de Parfum inspired by the ancient Scottish tribe of Din Eidyn (Edinburgh), whose archaeological discoveries unearthed wine goblets, pitchers, and roundhouse settlements.
Votadini: Named after the ancient Celtic tribe who inhabited the area around Din Eidyn (present-day Edinburgh), renowned for their sophisticated culture and enduring presence in Scottish history.
Perfumer's notes:
Votadini is inspired by the ancient Scottish tribe who lived just outside of Edinburgh in roundhouses. When archaeologists discovered their settlement, they found wine goblets and pitchers, which fascinated me. I created a red wine accord as the perfume's main structure and built everything around it. I developed a wild heather accord to capture the Scottish landscape and used Cypriol to bring earthiness to the scent profile. There's also a clay accord as a nod to the pottery they used. The fragrance finishes in a jet accord (jet-black coal, black amber), creating something truly alluring and untamed, evocative of the history between Rome and Scotland.
