What We Do Is Secret
"A Lab On Fire" became (again) "What We Do Is Secret®"
"Notre métier est basé sur cette notion de secret." [Our profession is based on the concept of secrecy.] So said the famous perfumer Jacques Cavallier about 20 years ago. For us, this quote perfectly encapsulates the mystique of perfumery. We may never know which farm in Grasse grows the best roses or why we feel so deeply connected to a particular scent. And we don't need to. Inspired by all the secrets perfumers keep, we began using the name What We Do Is Secret® as a trade name for our art studio in 2005, and subsequently launched our eponymous perfume blog. It only seemed fitting to honor our 20+ year history by returning to a name that aligns so perfectly with the fascination of scent.
