Orkney, an archipelago north of Scotland, is the inspiration for this fragrance. According to an ancient myth of the Orkney Islands, shapeshifters – Selkies – inhabit the bodies of seals and shed their skin when they emerge from the water to mingle with humans. In these stories, the Selkies' skin is often found and hidden by local men, forcing them to marry their human captor.
In our interpretation of this story, however, the Selkie gains the upper hand... Horrified that he has tanned her precious skin, the Selkie poisons her captor, reclaims the leather, and finally returns to the roaring sea.
Sirenide is therefore an appropriately impressive fragrance: powerful and haunting, with three aspects of "skins" that unfold on your skin. PVC merges with sealskin and an unsettling bitter almond note... Water flowers bloom and die to return to the water.
