Elite Shaving Soap
Our shaving soap is applied to freshly cleansed skin and contains shea butter, which creates a rich, creamy lather.
This delicately scented, triple-milled shaving soap is presented in a wooden shaving bowl made from renewable resources. It contains a blend of oils that promotes the glide of the blade over the skin, minimizing the risk of scratches and cuts and ensuring a professional finish.
The gentle woody notes of Elite are enlivened by a cool citrus note of bergamot, lemon, and orange, underscored by the green, resinous notes of cedar leaf and spicy juniper berry. Lavender and fir balsam with a hint of bay leaf characterize the heart note and are enhanced by the woody notes of patchouli and vetiver. Mossy notes then play a key role in developing the fragrance, with amber, musk, and a hint of leather in the base note.
Since its creation in 1979 by the late Michael Bodenham, Elite has been a favorite fragrance of the Floris family, one to which people return time and again. Named after "Lotion Elite"—a Floris shaving cream that first appeared in the Floris range in 1851, Elite was initially a perennial favorite, demonstrating that patience truly pays off in the art of perfume creation. Throughout the 1980s, it found a loyal following, and its number of admirers grew both domestically and on the continent as exports to Europe increased. Elite has now become an icon of the Floris collection. It has found a second home among devotees around the world, particularly in Italy, where the fragrance grew in popularity and remains so today, 40 years after its launch.
