In a post-apocalyptic world, a survivor of a highly developed and cultured civilization wears a shimmering, tailored garment and walks through a smoky, obscure place. The contrast between beauty and horror is expressed in William Blake's poem "The Tyger": The beast is incredibly enchanting and seductive, yet dark, terrible, and terrifying. The scent is the result of this striking and magnificent combination, creating a unique, hypnotic atmosphere.

The creation of Tyger Tyger:

The title is the intro to a masterpiece of poetry, 'The Tyger' by William Blake.

“Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?”

In this composition I sought the perfect balance between two opposing elements and the expression of their clashing opposites.
I envisioned a post-apocalyptic state in which traces of a highly developed and cultured civilization survived in the dark and fearful state of a collapsed and destroyed world.
Blake's Tyger embodies both qualities I wanted to portray: sublime and irresistibly attractive on the one hand, and terrible and frightening on the other.

The 'fearful symmetry' - a characteristic attributed to the tiger by W. Blake - aptly represents this contrast between beautiful perfection and fear.

The perfume is built around an accord of narcotic white flowers with sweet-fruity facets, including a tuberose absolute—like a prima donna, the protagonist of a dramatic piece, she is the finest example of a cultured civilization of a bygone world; in contrast, the base notes present various types of woods, with some smoky and leathery qualities that suggest a post-apocalyptic scenario of destruction, mystery, and darkness.

The result of these parts—which wouldn't work individually—is a contrasting, zesty scent that gives me an exciting sense of highly dramatic sophistication—the kind of contrasting sensation that awakens everything attractive in me.
