A reminiscence of times when craftsmen scented their leather products.

DETAILS.

Centuries ago, artisans used fragrance blends to mask the unpleasant odor of freshly tanned leather. This gave rise to what we now perceive as the characteristic leather scent—original and refined at the same time. The leather scent is unmistakable and very appealing, inevitably evoking nostalgic feelings. In our formula, floral notes reflect the elegance of smooth leather, while rustic wood notes are reminiscent of soft vintage pieces after years of use. As a material, leather envelops like a second skin; as a fragrance, it improves over time.

The natural wax blend burns cleanly and slowly, lasting 60 hours.

Shipping: Due to high temperatures, we advise against shipping to warmer regions during the summer months. Candles that melt during transport cannot be replaced.

APPLICATION.

Trim the wick to 6 mm before each lighting. Place on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface. Protect from drafts and do not place against a wall. Burn for at least 2–3 hours before first use, then no longer than 3 hours at a time. Do not use again when the candle has burned down to 1.3 cm of wax.

Caution: Do not leave unattended. Burn only within sight. Keep away from flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Tips from Matthew + Andrew. Our candles burn so cleanly that the glasses are reusable. We use ours as drinking glasses at home and in the office—real eye-catchers!
