Perfume
I wish time would stand still at this moment.
Laos
Encore du Temps is a declaration of love, a blossom that has fallen into a cup of tea. A trip to Laos made me aware of the timeless love between two people and awakened in me the desire to tell you about this journey. To a place where time is a state of mind, where everything is lost in smiles. Like a slow black-and-white film, like certain moments in life. This tea seemed never-ending, as the small osmanthus blossom floated among the eddies of the cup.
Love
It was only love, and we wished for more time to savor this moment of our lives, sitting on the terrace of a historic colonial house in Luang Prabang. From there, our gaze wandered over the river. A soft and delicate opening, loving from the very first scents, a delicate touch of bergamot and mandarin paves the way to the heart, a white canvas sprinkled with green tea, upon which osmanthus rests: warm, voluptuous, and fruity, the same canvas upon which the poetry of the champaca blossom rests. In its Asian scents, I sense my beloved Asia and the walks through the woods, beside them, the large magnolia tree, a dedication.
The time
In the background, the sweetness of Laotian benzoin, the care of sandalwood, and memories of mate narrate a delicate finale. Osmanthus grows in our garden today and gives us a fragrant and delicate blossom in the fall. On autumn evenings, when I go for a walk, its fruity scent transports me back to Laos, to Indochina. It reminds me of the feeling I feel every day for the woman I love. I wish I had more time, and more, and more...
