Last Season

In a remote place, walking through quiet woods and natural shadows, I closed my eyes and thought, "What does the voice of nature smell like?"

The earth, the water.

Imagine that the world suddenly reveals itself to you, through the forests, through the waters of the Baltic Sea, through the light that shines impetuously between the leaves of centuries-old trees. Imagine hearing, for the first time and forever, the voice of the earth. Last Season was born during a trip to Sweden, a place far from the world. In those days of peace, beauty, and friendship, I rediscovered for a moment the pure feeling that is our destiny: to always delve into the depths of things, to live them, to understand and delight in them, to plunge into life. This depth is narrated by this fragrance, which only allows a voice to nature.

The island

Last Season tells of my first steps in this pristine place; it was a warm August morning, the aromatic notes speak of arriving on the island of mosses. Here, everything is submerged, and like ancient lunar creatures, sea plants connect us to the water as we lie on the dark rocks of the Baltic Sea. And then the slow, respectful steps of us guests of this green, earthy, damp place. The sun warms the bark of the trees; animals watch us from their burrows, solitary humans in the heart of nature. I have crossed all seas to see you, traversed all forests to speak to you, to hear your scent, nature. And now, that I am here, I am speechless, closing my eyes and listening to your essence in this last season.

Mother Nature
