Narcotic
Perfume
A journey into the innermost depths of our soul.
A spiritual journey
Encountering our deepest memories can be harrowing. That's what I tried to create with Narcotico: a personal, profound journey into the most hidden olfactory memories of my soul. Through a journey to Palermo, a city full of contrasts, among its alleys and churches, Narcotico tells of the spiritual journey of the soul, of my personal relationship with the sacred.
The Return
The fragrance opens intensely, sharply, obsessively edgy. Frankincense and thyme blend, slowly opening the doors of this sacred place, memory. The contrast between the sweet notes of tonka bean, benzoin, and a floral accord that has matured over time continues endlessly. Narcotico contains within its meaning a dedication to Pier Paolo Pasolini and Antonello da Messina, two souls who influenced my life when I returned to Sicily after so many years.
The locked drawers
The development of the perfume offers us an unexpected warmth; the soul has found peace, it has found its answers. A composition of patchouli, oud, guaiac wood, vetiver, and labdanum reminds us of the place where we often hide our souls, an old, long-forgotten drawer. Returning to my homeland after so many years has shaken my spirit; recounting all this through Narcotico has given me answers to my questions.
